Description
A very rare Waltham antique pocket watch dating to 1898, with only eight known examples of this model. The 18K gold hunter case features gilt, diamond, and red enamel decoration, including a delicately painted scene of a cherub or Cupid holding a garland of flowers. The outer case is finished with a repoussé classical design. The white enamel dial features Roman numerals, Arabic five-minute divisions, and a subsidiary seconds dial, while the movement is marked “American Waltham, Mass, Riverside, Adjusted” with serial number 10004234. The watch measures approximately 30 mm in diameter and 15 mm in depth and is described as being in excellent condition. It will be serviced by a specialist horologist before dispatch.
