Antique 1880 English Men’s Embroidered House Slippers

Rp5,148,342

Beautiful embroidery on a blue background with white lilies and white callas. Embroidery on three sides. The inside is fine goat skin. The sole is made of thick, genuine brown leather. The sole is 10.6 inches or 27 cm long. Note the sole is for one foot; this was done until about 1900. When walking, the caps took the shape of the foot. The history of men’s embroidered house slippers dates back to ancient China, where shoes were decorated with symbols of power. Initially, they could be made of cotton or reed with a leather lining and had decorative elements. In the modern world, embroidery is just one of the decorative ways to give shoes a personal touch and make them an excellent gift, while the design and style themselves depend on current fashion trends.
